The Harlem Hellfighters got their nickname from their German enemies, were the first African Americans to fight in WWI, and saw more combat than any other American unit. The British Expeditionary Force was smaller in size than the German and French armies, but provided stubborn resistance time and again in the face of the German onslaught. NEW FACTIONS - Turn the tide as the British Expeditionary Force and Harlem Hellfighters Whether playing as brave members of the British Army sent to the western front, or the heroic African-American regiment of the US National Guard, these two new factions come clad in authentic attire created with painstaking detail, and add a new dimension to the battle.

Three new maps with a wide range of terrain have also now been added, and more factions and maps are planned for release later this year. Highlights of this all-new update include FACTIONS, MAPS and WEAPONS: Until now, players could be French, German, or American factions, but this new update adds the Harlem Hell Fighters and British Army. The environments give players a wide mix of terrain to tackle, ensuring there is a different gameplay experience from map to map. Gorgeous Environments and Distinctive Factions: Beyond the Wire’s maps are so authentically detailed they have a cinematic vibe. Communication is constant and section leaders must adapt strategy to respond to incoming enemy attacks. Coordinate efforts, call for a medic, provide line of sight info on the enemy, and make sure you’re backing up your team.

A “Social” Shooter: Teamwork makes the dream work in this title, and communicating with teammates via in-game voice comms is crucial. The ability to attack from multiple angles, hunker down and defend, and then counterattack with precise timing to unleash powerful melee combos, set the melee combat apart from other FPS titles. Unique Melee System: Players will find themselves switching between artillery, ranged weapons and melee combat often as different map terrain requires different winning strategies. Historical Authenticity: Perhaps the most historically accurate WWI first person shooter on the market, this game has a fanatical focus on the authenticity of uniforms, arsenal, gear and battlefields. Though combat is faster paced than Squad, Offworld Industries’ other FPS, it is more deliberate than most mainstream shooters. Players will encounter both close quarters trench warfare and farther afield firefights, for a variety of combat experiences. Varied and Engaging Combat: Beyond the Wire strikes a balance between action and pacing.
